Alby I Leithe, age 86 of St Paul, formerly of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014, into the arms of his Lord and Savior.

 

Born in Fertile to Norwegian immigrant parents.

 

Alby was proud of his heritage, maintaining close ties with family in Norway. He served in the US Navy during World War II. In his long career as a chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant, he won numerous industry awards and took great pride in faithfully serving his clients. He will be deeply missed for his loving kindness, unfailing support, eternal optimism and enthusiasm for experiencing other cultures and history through travel.

 

Survived by wife of nearly 60 years Janice; daughters Joni and Susan; sister Laurella Thompson and extended family and friends.

 

Preceded in death by brothers Marvin and Einar; parents Martin and Inga.

 

The family would like to express their gratitude to the skilled staff at Lyngblomsten Care Center for their compassion towards Alby.

 

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery
