Paul Atwell Drury, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He is the son of the late Russ and Statie Cole Drury. He was a member of Alton Baptist Church, Men's Sunday school Class, former deacon, and former owner of Paul Drury's Body Shop. He was a charter member of Alton Ruritan Club, former member of Anderson County Business Development, and former member of Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Thelma Irene Hawkins Drury; daughter, Charlotte Ann Drury (Brett Jones); 5 sons, Connie (Sue) Drury; Larry Paul (Billie Jean) Drury; Gary Scott (Donna B.) Drury; Eddie Martin Drury, all of Lawrenceburg, and Mark Allen (Boday) Drury, Frankfort; 2 sisters, Jessie Norris Goodlett, and Lavenia (Onis) Peach, both of Lawrenceburg; brother, Ralph Emmett (Cathy) Drury, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ambrose Drury, and Bill Drury; 2 sisters, Helen Drury, and Ophia Dearinger.

Funeral services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. and Bro. Matt Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele Street, Frankfort, KY 40601. Casketbearers will be Jeffrey, Patrick, Paul Taylor , Russ Allen, Todd, Ashley Drury, Cole, and Bailey Sayre. Honorary bearers will be Ann Tyler, Hannah, Amanda, and Laura Drury.
