Henry Nash Craven, 89, retired Post Office Department employe and resident of Washington for 62 years, died Monday at his home, 1431 Harvard street N. W. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Hines funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Craven entered the department in 1882. On his retirement in 1925, he received a letter of commendation for his service from Postmaster General Harry S. New. A native of North Carolina, he was affiliated with St. John's Lodge, No. 11, of the Masons.
He is survived by three nephews, the Rev. J. Byron Crouse, Wilmore, Ky.; Isa A. Crouse and Dr. James L. Keerans of North Carolina and a niece, Miss Lollie H. Crouse of North Carolina.
