Mountain View Farmer Killed
Ben Cox, well known resident of the community south of Mountain View, was fatally wounded Sunday afternoon by the accidental discharge of a shotgun. He died about three hours after he was shot; it is reported.
Mr. Cox was shot thru the stomach when a 410-gauge gun was discharged as he attempted to remove it from its place behind a dresser in his home. It is believed the hammer caught against something enough to fire the gun.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed late Wednesday, pending the arrival of relatives.
