Mr. Adkins served his country in the United States Army from 1945-1946. He was a farmer and was a graduate of Dalton High School.
Mr. Adkins is survived by three nieces ~ Alice Best of Columbus, OH; Faye Davis of Edinburg, IL; and Paula Daniels of Rockport, IN.
Preceding Mr. Adkins in death were his parents ~ Lloyd and Bessie Stephens Adkins; three sisters ~ Ruth Oost, Neva Adkins and Verna Lois Bowman; two brothers ~ Huston Adkins and Berkley Adkins.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. John Shoulta on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dalton Cemetery in Dalton, KY.
