Lucy Whitmire, of Iron Mountain, died August 4, at her home. She was born Oct 29, 1881, in Cuba, MO, a daughter of the late George Reeves and Jane Baker Reeves.
Surviving are: two sons, Carl Reeves, and Jesse Reeves; three daughters, Mamie Robinson, Jeannie Watson, and Myrtle Smith; two brothers, George Reeves, and Don Reeves; 23 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and step daughter, Ethel Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Whitmire; one son; four brothers; and one sister.
Interment today, in Dent Cemetery.
