Ruby Sharp Patterson, age 88, of Alcoa passed away quietly Thursday morning, February 20, 2003, at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mellie Sharp; brothers, Bradford Sharp and Willis Sharp. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Glenn Patterson; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Mary Patterson of Kingsport; grandson, Gary Patterson of Alcoa; brother, Eugene Sharp of Sevierville. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2003, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for graveside service and interment with Dr. Bob Brown officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Broadway Baptist Church Building Fund, 2329 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN 37804. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2003, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
