Based on research by Ken Beirne, the 1900 census shows Michael and Katherine Sullivan Meehan living on a farm in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, PA with nine of their 10 children still living. Michael and Katherine Sullivan Meehan declared that they both were born in 1852; she in March and he in September. Michael Meehan was born in Ireland, and Katherine Sullivan Meehan, daughter of James and Hanora Kelly Sullivan, was born in Pennsylvania (presumably at home on her parents' farm in Albany Township, Bradford County, PA).

The 1910 census shows Michael and Katherine Sullivan Meehan living on a farm in Albany Township, Bradford County, PA with their son, Thomas, and James Flannigan (age 16) and Paul Francis (age 14), help born in New York (presumably, these boys may have been orphans). Michael Meehan declared that he had immigrated in 1859.

The 1920 census shows Michael and Katherine Sullivan Meehan living with their son, James, on a farm in Albany Township, Bradford County, PA. Two of Katherine Sullivan Meehan's brothers, Michael Sullivan and Morris (sic) (Maurice is the correct spelling as shown on his tombstone at St. Basil's Cemetery in Dushore, PA) Sullivan, lived on farms nearby. The 1930 census shows Michael Meehan living with his son-in-law, James Morrison, in Wysox Township, Bradford County, PA.
Katherine Sullivan Meehan had died before the 1930 census, and Mary Meehan Morrison, daughter of Michael and Katherine Sullivan Meehan, had died in 1924. Michael Meehan died on August 11, 1932 at age 79.

Based on the census data summarized above, Michael Meehan and Katherine Sullivan Meehan were married in 1875, and their oldest child, Nora Rose Meehan, was born in 1876 and died in 1915 at age 39. Nora Rose Meehan married John McGovern (1865-1950) in 1906 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Overton, PA. One of their daughters, Mary McGovern (1910-1994) married George R. Bahl (1901-1981), and they lived on a farm in Forks Township, Sullivan County, PA. Mary McGovern Bahl was a school teacher before her marriage and the elected Forks Township tax collector for many years. George and Mary McGovern Bahl were childless; they are buried at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton, PA.
