Mrs . Emma Factly Waughon , 85 , widow of John Waughon , a former Burlington resident , died in St . Joseph' s hospital , Elgin , Wednesday , following a long illness. She was born in Naperville April 6 , 1861 , and resided in this vicinity most of her life . Of recent years, after the death of her husband , Mrs . Waughon had made her home with a daughter , Mrs . Ruth Seyller of Hampshire . The family retired from farming 20 years ago when they moved to Elgin . She was a member of St . Charles Borromeo Catholic church in Hampshire and St . Regina Court , Womens Catholic Order of Foresters of Elgin . Survivors are two sons , Patrick Waughon of Burlington ; John Waughon of Chicago ; a daughter , Mrs . Seyller and three grandchildren . Besides her husband , a daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Fri day morning at 9 o clock from the Frederick funeral chapel in Hampshire and at St . Charles Borromeo church at 9 : 30 , with burial in the Bluff City cemetery.
