Jack L. Hunter, 85, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, in Loveland, CO. He was born November 4, 1929, in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Frank & Mary Hunter.

Jack moved to Morgan County in October 1969. Prior to retirement, Jack worked as a refrigeration mechanic for the railroad. He was a member of the Morgan County Moose Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and working in his garden. His favorite time was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Carlson of Brush; 4 sons, Jackie Hunter Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Jim Hunter of Castle Rock, CO, John Hall of Aurora, CO, and Ed Carlson of Covington, KY; 2 brothers, Harry of Harbor City, CA and Jay of Suffolk, VA; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 7 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 grandsons, and his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 20, at 10:30 AM at the Brush United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Chapel in Brush on Thursday from 4 – 6 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Jack Hunter Memorial Fund c/o the Heer Mortuary.
