OBITUARY:
Services for Bert A. Goosic ,85 of Delta will be held at Roberts Funeral Chapel at 10:30 am June 13. The Rev Marshall Vaughn will officiate, and burial will be in the Delta Cemetery.
Mr Goosic died at 1:30 PM yesterday, June 8 at Rest Haven Nursing Home where he had been a patient for some time.
Born at Beaver City, Neb., on Oct 29, 1880, Mr. Goosic lived in that vicinity most of his life until coming to Delta in 1959, though he had spent some time at Gunnison at intervals. He was a farmer and held memberships in the Undenominational Church and the IOOF Lodge, both in Beaver City.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married at Denver on Nov 23, 1943; by a son Cecil, of Nevada, IA.; a daughter, Mrs Lela Stubbs of Beaver City; two step sons, Walter Carpenter of Montgomery, Ill., and Everett Carpenter of Aurora, Ill.; two step daughters, Mrs Lucille Atchley and Mrs Helen Higgs, both of Delta; five grandchildren, six great grand children, 14 step grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
His parents, Jim & Nora Wilkinson Goosic, a brother and a sister preceded him in death
