Abram Peter Anthony served in the Civil War as a Sergeant, 13th Regiment, Illinois Infantry, Co. G. He enlisted 24 May 1861 and mustered out 18 June 1864 in Springfield, Illinois. Abram (or Abraham) was the son of Peter Anthony and Nancy Lambert and the husband of 1) Charity Ruth Fleming m. 1865 in IL and 2) Mary Jane Waggoner, m. 1882 in Oregon.
