Helen Burnsmier, 95, of Sullivan, formerly of Champaign, died on Monday (Feb. 16, 2015) at Mason Point Nursing Home, Sullivan.
Helen was born on May 10, 1919 in Fisher, a daughter of Elwood and Carrie Miller. She married Donald Bryant in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1959. Later she married Charles Burnsmier in 1964. He preceded her in death in 2004. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Earl Miller.
She is survived by two sons, Duane (Betty) Bryant and Gene (Ilene) Bryant; one daughter, Janice (Rob) Wagonseller; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Zora Moore.
Helen retired from the University of Illinois Agronomy Soybean Research Department.
