William Donald “Donnie” Cox, 60 of 132 Tranquility Lane, died Wednesday, Dec.27, 2006, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
He was born in Lee County, son of William ”Bill” Cornelius Cox and the late Evelyn Lee Cox. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany for three years as a medic. He served as a funeral director who gave personal & professional service for 35 years. He was last employed at Toale Brothers Funeral Home in Sarasota, Florida. He had two dogs, Fritz and Freda, who he loved and he considered them to be his “children”.
