Jerry Wayne Miller
Jerry Wayne Miller, Sr., born in Van Alstyne, Texas, August 5, 1941, passed away March 23, 2005.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. T. Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Miller; mother, Sue Miller; daughter, Ritha Edwards; son, Jerry Wayne Miller, Jr.; son, Jayson T. Miller; stepdaughter, Judy Loss; stepson, Joseph Kindle; sister, Peggy McLaughlin; 4 grandchildren, Julie, Brian, Lori,& Rachel; 2 step grandchildren, Skylar, & Tryston; 2 great grandchildren, Autumn, & Adison.

Jerry attended T. G. Terry Elementary School; Pleasant Grove Jr. High School and Open Door Baptist Academy. He served in the United States Army.

He enjoyed horseback riding, and he also showed horses, and he collected old cars. He also loved to travel. Other things Jerry loved; life, friends, fast cars, horses, good food, Branson Missouri, Pepsi Cola, The Food Network on TV, old country music, Wal-Mart and his dog Buster.

His philosophy was "You only live once". The night before Jerry passed away, one of his friends was visiting with him and his family and said, "Jerry's life was simple, Everyday was payday, and every night was Saturday night". He loved life.

Jerry loved being with friends and talking about old times. He laughed loud and often, and loved a good joke.

Jerry was a "hard nosed father" and found it to be of great importance to know he had taught his children to make their own way.

He always said to his children "You do as I say, not as I do". He wanted his children to have a good life, free from struggles...knowing how to provide for themsleves and their family.

After several marriages, Jerry found his love, Donna. Expressing to his family how much he loved her and was grateful for her love and caring for him.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Jerry Miller to the First State Bank of Mesquite, Attention Todd Price.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 28, 2005 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182.

Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
