Mrs. Anna Watkins, 72, of 2900 S. Fourth St., died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's hospital, Springfield.

She was a former Petersburg resident.

Mrs. Watkins was born May 6, 1884 in Menard county, the daughter of George and Harriet Dante McKinney.

She was married to Fred Watkins. He died in 1939.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. William Rauzi and Mrs. Frank Mohr, both of Springfield; Mrs. Roy Dunkle, Amity, Pa.; Mrs. Walter Sprinkle, Baldwyn, Miss.; two sons, Robert L. Crook, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Horace Watkins, Mechanicsburg; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Denton, Petersburg; Mrs. Ralph Hubard, Rockford; Mrs. Ted Briner, St. Louis; and two brothers, Bert McKinney, Springfield; and Mosby McKinney, Baltimore, Md.
