FAWN GROVE Aries "AC" C. Cornett, 82, of Fawn Grove RD 1, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday at Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallastown. He was the husband of Theresea L. (Barnes) Cornett. The couple were married Dec. 2, 1944.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cornett was born March 18, 1911, at Wilkesboro, N.C. He was the son of the late Aries C. and Julie A. (Green) Cornett.
He had retired after 16 years of service with the Maryland State Road Commission. A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, he served with Company B of the 215th Infantry.
Mr. Cornett also is survived by three sons, Vernon L. Randall of New Rochelle, Ill., Rodger R. Cornett of Butler, Md., and Ayres C. Cornett of Fawn Grove; eight daughters, Frances A. Poole and Charlotte F. Price, both of Hickory, N.C., Gene T. Davis, Ruthann Price and Jeanette J. Cornell, all of Fawn Grove, Sally J. Price and Darlene D. Price, both of Bristol, Tenn., and Sharon E. Kilgore of Felton; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Granville Cornett of Baltimore County, Md., and Danville Cornett of Carroll County, Md.; a sister, Martha Talbert of Bluff City, Tenn.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Cornett, and by a daughter, Julie L. Cornett.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. R. Jeffrey Fisher, associate pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, Red Lion. 11-08-93
