STEPHENSON, MRS. IRENE B., age 83, of Gardendale, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2002. She was a member of Pineywood Baptist Church. She retired from South Eastern Metal Steel Company after 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Herschel Stephenson; brothers, J.B. Bearden of Birmingham, Wade Bearden of Gadsden, and Herbert Bearden of Ashville; sisters, Alberta Wooten of Birmingham and Inez Gorman of Pell City.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the U.A.B. Hospice Program (1-800-247-4132). Ridout's Gardendale Chapel directing.
