SAUK CITY/MAZOMANIE - Anne K Reuter, age 87 died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Iowa County, on Aug. 19, 1921, daughter of the late Henry and Ellen (Gilbertson) Hendrickson. She was united in marriage to Darvin Peterson on April 3, 1939 and they were married for 20 years. She later married Roman Reuter on Oct. 7, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2001.
She was employed by Graber's of Middleton for many years. Anne and her husband Roman, owned and operated Club 14 in Mazomanie and Reuter's Shoes, Bait and Tackle in Mazomanie. She was a member of the Mazomanie American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 437. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers and loved her crocheting projects.
Anne is survived by her children, Marian (Vic) Sopher of Janesville, Linda (Dave Lukens) Wiedenfeld of Prairie du Sac, Rod (Mary Jo) Peterson of Sauk City and Roxanne (Bill) Ruland of Mazomanie; step-daughters, Brenda St. Clair of Lodi and Marva (Donald Sr.) Hahn of Lodi; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Joan Johnsrud of Barneveld and Eleanor Gordon of Mount Horeb.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Judith McCulloch; two sisters; and two brothers.
Burial will be in the Mazomanie Cemetery.
