Mrs. Amanda Morgart Steckman, widow of James H. Steckman, died at 10 o'clock this morning (November 13,1920) at her home, 444 West Orange Street, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of many months, aged 80 years. She was born March 24,1841, in Bedford county.
Mrs. Steckman was a resident of Lancaster since 1865. Her husband, the late James H. Steckman, who has been dead for five years, was a prominent horse dealer in this community for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.
She is survived by the following children: Misses Carrie E. and Ella M. and Charles A., all at home. The funeral will be held from her late home on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Private interment will be made in Lancaster cemetery.
