Mrs. Betty Jean Tiner, 66, died suddenly Thursday morning (February 12, 2015) at her residence in Blackshear.
She was born in Brantley County but had lived the past 26 years in Pierce County. She retired in 2010 from Scapa Dryers, Inc. after 34 years of employment.
Mrs. Tiner was a daughter of the late Wade and Macie Walker. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Kyle Music; a sister, Reba Walker; and two brothers, Ivey Walker and David Walker.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Music (husband Keith) of Waycross; a son, Robbie Tiner (wife Julianna) of Blackshear; four grandsons, Ashley Music of Waycross, Tyler Tiner of Blackshear, Alex Tiner of Blackshear, Chance Tiner of Blackshear; a granddaughter, Megan Musgrove of Blackshear; three brothers, James "Buddy" Walker of Hoboken, Charles Walker (wife Louise) of Blackshear, and Noah Walker (wife Pat) of Hoboken; a sister-in-law, Barbara Walker of Blackshear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday (February 15, 2015) at Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o'clock.
