Alma Bleichwehl, age 85, a former Manitowoc resident, died late Thursday evening, March 5, 1998, at Evergreen Retirement Community, Oshkosh.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 1998,at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Glenn Unke, with burial to follow at St. John's Church Cemetery, Newtonberg.
She was born July 24, 1912, in Newtonberg, daughter of the late John and Anna Carstens Schwantz. Alma was a graduate of Brillion High School, Class of 1931. She married Lewis M. Bleichwehl. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1988. Mrs. Bleichwehl was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc,Wis.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Edithglen Bleichwehl, Oshkosh; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Esther Schwantz, Manitowoc, and Edna Behnke, Brillion. She was preceded in death by one sister, Frieda Bleichwehl, and one brother, Reuben Schwantz.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from, 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services at 11 a.m.
