Jack Bernard Rupp, 87, died January 15, 2015 at Zusman Hospice surrounded by loving family. Born May 31, 1927 to Leona (Hauser) and Frederick Rupp, Jr. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Elizabeth "Punky" Rupp and Martha Sheffey (Marty). Survived by loving bride of 65 years, Elizabeth (Kaltenbach); children, Jack, Jr., (Carol), Christina Roslovic (Nick) Frederick III (Tina); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; "adopted" children, Muneo Miyao of Australia and Barbara Wright of Columbus. 1945 Graduate, Holy Rosary High School. Retired Command Sergeant Major of the 83rd Army Reserve Command, having served 41 years in the U.S. Army. Retired from Defense Construction Supply Center. Jack received numerous awards for service with American Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America, and was a dedicated Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Holy Spirit Church. Friends may call Monday, January 19, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. The family invites friends to join in a parting glass after calling hours. Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 20, 10:30 a.m. Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E. Broad St., Fr. William Arnold presiding. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St. Lockbourne, OH. The family welcomes contributions to American Red Cross, Prostate Cancer Foundation, or Zusman Hospice. Arrangements by O'Shaughnessy Co.
