Doris Emily Kelsey Allport, age 92 of Wayton, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper, Arkansas.

The daughter of Leon Levi Kelsey and Bertha Lavina (Kidney) Kelsey was born on August 28, 1921 in Clarendon, Orleans County, New York.

She moved to Newton County in 1980 from Eagle Harbor, New York.

She was a member of the Eagle Harbor Methodist Church and was also a Sunday School teacher. She was a leader of the Live and Learn 4-H Club and den mother for the Cub Scouts. She started the Wayton Craft Club; was a member of the Roadrunners EHC Club and Jasper Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters; one brother and a great-grandchild.

Survivors are four sons, David Allport of Jasper, Arkansas, Terry Allport and Verne Allport both of Holley, New York and Earle Allport of Eagle Harbor, New York; one daughter, Sally Little of Wayton, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Allport will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Jasper Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Acton officiating.
