Levi Marion Baker was the son of Andrew Jackson Baker and Julia Ann Barnes. Levi married Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Littrell on March 12, 1889, in Severy, Greenwood County, Kansas.

During their marriage Levi and Betty had 10 children:
* Carrie Grace (1889-1890)
* Lottie Gertrude (1893-1893)
* Ada Lenora (1896-1932)
* Roy Charles (1898-1947)
* Coy Arthur (1898-1898) Roy & Coy were twins, but Coy only lived 2 days.
* Gladys Ethel (1901-1901)
* Yula Dorothy (1903-1997)
* Geneva Lea (1906-1985)
* Thomas Floyd (1913-1988)
* Wilma "Billie" Nell (1916-1981)

After Levi passed away, his widow "Betty" Littrell married Charles Hay Herrman.

In the 1870 census Levi was living with his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters in Greenwood County, Kansas (Madison post office).

The 1880 census found Levi & brother Andrew at the home of their step-father, S. Gallemore, in Greenwood County.

In 1920 Levi & family (4 children) resided in Sedan, Kansas, where he was working in oil field pipeline maintenance. [RB 2/2015]

Levi is my wife's grandfather. My now deceased father-in-law told me that Levi was killed by a train in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but he didn't know the details of the accident, nor where Levi was buried. One genealogical source I found stated that Levi was buried at Niotaze, Kansas, so I am declaring Fairview Cemetery his place of burial. I feel he could also be in Greenwood, but until I, or a fellow researcher, complete a cemetery search, this is the best I can do. [RB 2/2015]
