Alma Jean Tate, age 82, of Parrottsville, passed away Saturday December 11, 2010 in Greeneville. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Tate.
She is survived by her son Eddie Tate of Parrottsville, grandchildren Perry Tate and Alex Tate of Parrottsville, sisters in law Mary Etta Tate of Greene County, Vivian Tate of Aiken, S C , niece Joyce Seaton of Greeneville, and nephew Lowell Tate of Greeneville.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Salem Lutheran Church with Jack Wilder officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:30 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Salem Lutheran Church or to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers will be Steve Balch, Wayne LaFollette, Ben Shultz, Buddy Seaton, Kreston Seaton, and Ronald Presnell.
