Irvine Wallace Carter, age 79, of 633 1/2 Commercial Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor. He was born March 10, 1935 to Forrest Alonzo Carter and Lucy Jane Warlitner Carter. He served in the United States Army and was a former employee at Alleghany Motors, Inc., specializing in body and fender repair. He was of the Brethren faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Blodwin Lippy "Jane" Carter; three sisters, Eloise Saia, Helen Howe, and Jane Van Buren; and two brothers, Edlow Carter and Elmer Carter. He is survived by a daughter, Ellen Pullin and husband Kevin of Selma; three sons, David Carter of Baltimore, William "Billy" Carter and wife Stephanie of Clifton Forge, and Danny Carter and wife Tina of Selma; four sisters, Edith Graziano of Glen Burnie, MD, Evelyn Groves of Halethope, MD, Anna Reynolds of Covington, and Virginia Looney of Norton; two brothers, John Carter of Clifton Forge and Fred Carter and wife Roymane of Selma; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
