SYLVIA – Daniel B. Burgey Jr., 63, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Born September 12, 1951 he was the son of Daniel B. and Beverly Clark Burgey. He served with the US Marine Corp. from 1969-72. On August 25, 1977 he married Kathy Jo Bruer. She died February 21, 2009. He is survived by his children: Dawn (Cory) Westfahl and Joe (Melissa) Burgey. Mother: Beverly Burgey. Sisters and brothers: Sandy (Bob) Ratley, Judy (Kirby) Humphrey, Debbie (Gus) Liebl, Robin (Randy) Brookman, Pam (Dave) Nafzinger, Shawn(Julie) Burgey, Shari (Jim) Chansler, Duke (Tami) Burgey, Gidget Cooper, Larry (Trisha) Burgey. Sister-in-law: Theresa (Gary) Kraus. Five grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Daniel Burgey and son-in-law Matt Malmstrom. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Steve Gill presiding. Burial will be at Sylvia Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 1-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Memorials to the Hospice House of Reno County or a Love Gift, both in care of the chapel.
