Mike had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. He had a true heart of gold that touched everyone who knew him. When Mike was… not winning Salesman of the Year at Grand Appliance, he was enjoying time outdoors. Mike was in his element when he was up north at his family’s cabin on the lake. He welcomed all his friends and family to share his love for the cabin. Mike also had a true passion for turkey hunting. For the last ten years, he helped organize a very successful Learn to Hunt Turkey Program for the NWTF.
Mike is the adored son-in-law of Ralph and Gloria Schmit. He is survived by nine siblings: Toni (Pat) McKinnon, Tim (Kim) Keefe, Jason (Laurie) Keefe, Shawn (Chris) Keefe, Stephanie (Dale) Schueller, Amy (Scott) Christian, Sarah (Shane) Schigur, Mary (Bill) Davis, and Jenny Keefe. He is further survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Connie (Mike) Weiland, Randy (Kay) Schmit, Jodi (Ronnie) Plier, Jeff (Angel) Schmit, and Brenda (Eric) Schneider.
