"A sister, Miss Maud Ainslie, received the bulk of the $571,879 estate of Mrs. Annie A. Halleck under her will filed yesterday in County Court.

Other bequests include $100,000 to Yale University, in memory of her husband, Reuben Post Halleck, noted educator and a former principal of Louisville Male High School, and $50,000 to Vassar College at Poughkeepsie, N. Y. Her sister, named executor, was directed to also pay the balance of a $25,000 gift to the Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville.

In addition, Yale at New Haven, Conn., was given copyrights to seven textbooks written by Halleck. Another copyright for the "History of Our Country," a schoolbook written by Halleck in 1923 and revised by Mrs. Halleck, was given to Miss Juliette Frantz, 1323 Rosewood, a teacher in Halleck Hall, which was named for the educator.

Miss Frantz also was one of 10 sharing individual bequests of specific amounts. Hers was $4,000. Other bequests included Miss Nettie May Hewett, $3,000; Miss Leal McAfee, $4,000; Mrs. Lucetta Dawson, Mrs. Lavinia Thomas and McKinley H. Shelburne, $1,000 each; Miss Mary A. Kunz and Miss Katy Biehl, $500 each; Miss Mary Staib, Boston, $4,000, and Mrs. Florence Cones, Danville, Ky., $8,000.

Vassar College was given a lot in New York City assessed at $4,600.

The $100,000 to Yale is to endow a Reuben Post Halleck professorship. The Vassar bequest is to endow a professorship in memory of Margaret S. Halleck. The will said it was to supplement sums given previously.

Miss Ainslie lived with Mrs. Halleck at 1215 S. Third. Mrs. Halleck died October 31."
