John Hamilton, 81, Dies at home on Forest Avenue After a Brief Illness

John Hamilton, 81 well-known retired railroad employee, died early today at his home, 361 Forest avenue after a brief illness, He was born July 31, 1858, in this city.
Surviving are his two sons, Herbert F. of this city and George M, of Elgin, Ill, and three grandchildren. George Jr. of Elgin, and John and Charlotte of this city. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Joseph's church of Branch 1 Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, and the Brotherhood of railway Clerks.
The body was removed to the residence this afternoon, funeral services to be held there at 9:30 A.M.Friday and at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's church. Burial will be in Rienzi cemetery.

RITES HELD FOR JOHN HAMILTON
Funeral Service Conducted For Retired Railman At Church

Funeral services for John Hamilton retired railway employee, who died Wednesday, were held at 9:30 A.M. today from the residence 361 Forest avenue, and at 10 a.m. for St. Joseph's church, the requiem mass being celebrated by the Rev. Henry G. Riordan, pastor.
Burial was in Rienzi cemetery, where the Rev. Lawrence Prendegast of St. Lawrence church, Elgin, Ill. and the Rev. Robert Anthony, assistant pastor at St. Joseph's church, conducted committal services.
Pallbearers were Clarence, Bernard, Maurice, and Henry Hoey and Robert and Fred Maibuchner.
Persons from a distance attending were the Rev. Fr. Prendegast, Mr. and Mrs. George Hamilton and son, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foley and Miss Elizabeth Souster of Elgin, Ill, James Hamilton and Mrs. Amelia Hamilton of Milwaukee, Miss Elese Kerr of St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maibuchner and Mrs .Margaret Maibuchner of Burlington, Fred Maibuchner of Waukesha, C. Patrick of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Walters of Oshkosh.
