Ken Montgomery was born in Indianapolis and raised in Indianapolis and Cincinnati by his parents, Oliver Montgomery and Minnie Aleda (Cain) Montgomery. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, a sgt. in the Air Force, and later graduated from Butler University with a B.S. in pharmacy and a M.S. in pharmaceutical chemistry. He worked his entire career in the pharmaceutical industry, ending with a company he helped to found with his children, Darlene and Bruce Montgomery, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was brought back to Indiana and laid to rest next to his father at Forest Lawn.
