Delbert Lawrence Martin, 91, of Brady, passed away February 6,2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born April 19, 1923 in Anselmo, NE to Lawrence and Esther Martin. After graduating from Gothenburg High School, he served in the air force. Del married Yolanda (Johnson) on January 11, 1947. Del and Yolanda moved to Brady in 1951 where he farmed and ranched. He later worked for Union Pacific. The couple moved from the farm into town where they resided until Dels recent hospitalization. Del had a strong passion for horses and riding his motorcycle. He was always community minded. He serviced on the Methodist church board, sang in the choir, was on the Brady school board, and drove the school bus.
He was survived by his wife Yolanda Martin, Greg (Pat) Martin of Aurora, CO, Kevin (Chris) Martin of Curtis, NE, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his father and mother Lawrence and Esther Martin and eldest son Michael Del Martin.

Burial of Cremains will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, February 13 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE.
