Arthur Rogers Anderson 4/18/1929-4/2/2012 Born in Kewanee, IL to Arthur M and Mildred L (Rogers) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Caroline Fosdick. He graduated in 1953 with a BA in Education, from Western Illinois College. On Aug 16, 1953, he married Eleanor L Peterson in Elmira. After the wedding they moved to Tucson, where he had a job teaching at John B. Wright. In 1957, he received his Masters. He later taught at Booth. In 1972 he became the first principal of Ford Elem. In 1986 he retired after 33 years with TUSD. He had been a volunteer at Pima Council on Aging, Christ Presbyterian Church and other associations during his work years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor; sister, Nancy (Keith) Parker of Kewanee; daughter Glenna (William) Scott of Buckeye, AZ; son, Stephen (Rosemary) of Tucson; Daughter Janet (Robert) Cass of Sierra Vista. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren Jettie Scott of Lakewood, CO and her daughter Amelia; Leticia (Mark) Diaz and their son Carson and Monica (Preston) Carpenter of Vail, AZ. A Memorial Service will be April 18, 2012 at 11AM at Christ Presbyterian Church 6565 E Broadway. Reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Inurnment to be in the CPC Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CPC.
