Blanche Irene Duncan, 97, of Franklin, passed away February 7, 2015. Born October 14, 1917 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Theressia (Miller) Brown.

Blanche was a 1937 graduate of Center Grove High School and a graduate of Sanderson Business College. She was a sales associate for Woolworth’s for many years. Blanche was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church. She truly enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Mae (Marc) Poley, Shirley (Danny) Decker – Hartley and Sarah Sue (Hurley) Davis; seven grandchildren, Hurley C. Davis, Sherri Davis – Baker, Lisa Decker – Smith, Tina Decker – Wyrick, Angela Poley – Garcia and Melanie Poley – McGarvey; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olin “Vern” Duncan; five brothers, Albert, Arvey, Carey, Kenneth and Don Brown; two sisters, Leona Throckmorton and Catherine Briggs.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Forest Lawn funeral home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

Memorial contributions can be made to Whiteland United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Bluff Creek Christian Church Memorial Fund.
