Loving son to Silas and Jean Estill.

Brother of Lanette and Carrie

Cause of death: Heart attack

From his obituary...........

Augie was born on an Army base in Nurnberg, Germany. His family moved back to California when he was still an infant and he spent the rest of his life in the Paso Robles area. He graduated from Paso Robles High School in 1972 & joined the U.S. Navy shortly afterwards. He was honorably discharged in 1974. After the Navy he worked in the oil fields for many years. He was also a cabinet maker, boilermaker and in the construction business.

Although Augie had seen his share of rowdy times, he had settled down these past few years. There was nothing he enjoyed more than going into the country and splitting a load of wood with his best friend Craig. He also enjoyed writing songs and poems -- often about the people he loved. He was always helping his friends plant their gardens & tinkering with their cars. In his last years, Augie tried to help the young people he had met. Kids who had gotten into trouble or seemed to be heading down the wrong path. He would try to inspire them to improve themselves & not make the same mistakes he had made. He will be missed by all that knew him.
