Funeral services for Louis "Lou" William Fredrickson, Jr., 76, of Needville, were held 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville. The Rev. Richard Avery will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.


Born June 29, 1916 in Garwood, Mr. Fredrickson died Saturday in Houston. He was a member of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, Youth Fair, and Lions Club.


He was preceded in death by a grandson, William Ross Fredrickson.


Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dorothy Kovar Fredrickson of Needville; eight daughters and six sons-in-law, Rebecca Sue and John Gray of Corpus Christi, Renea and C.E. Hackstedt of Needville, Pamela Nelms of Crockett, Jan and Mike Schneider of Needville, Cindy and Leon Pavlock of West Columbia, Carolyn (Cotton) and Randall Manville of Rosenberg, Judy and Hurley Johnson of Rosenberg, and Sharon (Sissie) Fredrickson of Needville; three sons and daughter-in-law, William (Billy) Ross Fredrickson of Kentucky, Gary (Ike) Lynn and Sue Fredrickson of Needville, and Louis (Bo) William Fredrickson III of Rosenberg; a brother, Victor Fredrickson of Eagle Lake; sisters, Madeline Rosenthal of Baltimore, Maryland, and Madalene Hill of Cleveland; other brothers and sisters; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


Memorials may be made to the Needville Youth Fair Scholarship Fund.


Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Needville.
