Doy Huston Morgan, 98, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012.
A native of Arkansas, he was the son of the late Franklin Lee and Ada Tucker Morgan. Doy was a fireman for Los Angeles County during WWII, and was an avid gardener and hunter. He has been a resident of Swannanoa for 11 years, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Doy is predeceased by five brothers, and four sisters.
Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Geneva Josephine Nobles Morgan of the home; son, Larry R. Morgan (Sylvia) of Georgetown, TX; daughter, Judy Keels of Swannanoa; brother, Jim Morgan of Yuma, AZ; five grandsons, Victor Martinez, Shon Morgan, Scott Keels, Mark Keels (Sandy), and John Keels; and two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Faith Keels.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday Nov 6, 2012 at the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
