Wilson Eugene Henning, 80, of rural Loraine, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) in Blessing Hospital.
Born Nov. 17, 1918, in Adams County, Mr. Henning was a son of William A. and Alice McClelland Henning. He married Mary Frances Gillenwater Jan. 5, 1944, in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Henning was a member of Centennial Ebenezer United Methodist Church near Loraine. He was a 1936 graduate of Mendon Township High School. He had farmed in Houston Township and was a bus driver for Community Unit 3 for several years. He also was an insurance adjuster for the Federal Crop Insurance Program.
Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Henning, Sr. and his wife, Janice, of Quincy; two daughters, Wilda C. Agans and her husband, David, of Meredosia, and Vickie J. Allen and her husband, Randy, of Loraine; a brother, Russell Henning of Loraine; five grandchildren, Joseph Henning, Jr.of Quincy, Robert Henning of Orange, Calif., Jennifer Agans of Springfield, Christina Davis and her husband, James, of Macomb, and Kelly Allen of Loraine; and three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Natalie and Robert Henning.
Mr. Henning was preceded in death by a brother, Emory Henning; two sisters, Pauline Burke and Maxine Schafer; a nephew, Robert Henning; and two nieces, Beverly Lambourn and Judy Bennett.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Briggs-Hunter Funeral Home in Golden by the Rev. Jeff Rasche. Burial will be in Golden Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Centennial Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
