Obituary:
Faye Hardy, a Waco homemaker, died Sunday at her residence. She was 85.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilkirson- Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery

Mrs. Hardy was born July 9, 1907, in Foss, Okla. She grew up and attended school in Shamrock , and attended Canyon State Teachers College.

She married Dal T. Hardy in 1931, and the couple moved to Waco shortly after their marriage. Mr. Hardy died Feb. 18, 1988.

Mrs. Hardy was active in various civic affairs in Waco and was a longtime member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, where she played the piano for her Sunday school class.

Survivors include a son, Dal T. Hardy of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Maude Lollar of Dallas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
