Son of Monroe Peden Mastin, Sr. & Bessie Alice Myers. Husband of Viola Bertha Chambers.

Mr. Lee Roy Mastin, age 95, of North Wilkesboro died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Wilkes Senior Village.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM, December 22, 2012 at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. David Wellborn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Mastin was born January 17, 1917 in Wilkes County to Monroe and Bess Alice Myers Mastin. Before retiring, he worked at American Drew Furniture. Mr. Mastin was a member of Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Chambers Mastin and a grandchild.

He is survived by: three daughters, Shirley Absher and husband, Jack, Linda Absher all of Wilkesboro, Carol Snyder and husband Winston of Morganton; one brother, M. P. Mastin and wife, Lona Mae of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2446 Fishing Creek Arbor Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697
