Death of Mrs. Mary Acker
Mrs. Mary Hartson Acker, a native of the town of Livonia and a lifelong resident at Conesus Lake, died at her home just south of McPherson Point last Monday night, Dec. 17, at the age of 84. Her last birthday anniversary was on Oct. 6. Her parents were Arnold and Alice Pollan Hartson.
Mrs. Acker had been in failing health for the last two or three years, but her death came as the result of a stroke last Sunday night. She was opening a door to go into another room, but was stricken and fell backwards to the floor. She died the next night. Her husband, Adelbert Acker, died 10 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Roy Jackson, Mrs. Alden Wells, Elmer Acker and Arthur Densmore; also six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Reed & Reed Funeral Home, Livonia. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
