Obit, Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, llinois: Arlie Waggoner, 92, of Mattoon, died 12:01 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 in Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Branchside Cemetery, Gays. Memorials are suggested to Pine Haven Christian Ranch, Ignatius, MT. Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Waggoner was born June 10, 1925, the son of Alfred and Nora Coleman Waggoner. Arlie had worked at Sally Ann Bakery and retired from Anamet, both in Mattoon. He was a member of the Broadway Christian Church and a WWII Navy veteran. Arlie married Jean Beldon in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1991. Surviving are his son Randy (Candy) Waggoner of Windsor; grandchildren Ashley Waggoner of Sullivan and Seth Waggoner of Strasburg and a brother Aden Waggoner of Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.
