ABERNATHY, LOUISE GARREN, age 84, of Madisonville, passed away 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Sweetwater Nursing Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Holt Kilby; parents, Elbert Stephen Garren and Ester Neva Steele Garren; sisters, Elsie Wilburn, Wanda Sue Garren; brothers, Billy Garren, Wesley Garren, Junior Garren and Glen Garren. Survivors: son- Dean Collake, of Madisonville; grandchildren, Heather and Jackie Liford, of Philadelphia, Dusty and Celena Holt, of Athens, Candice Collake, Chris and Christy Jones, Chelsie Collake, all of Tellico Plains, Cody and Kayln Collake, of Niota, great grandchildren, Landen and Hayden Holt, Kylie Liford, Sammie, Steven and Sierra Jones; brothers and sister-in-law, Joe and Betty Garren, Austin Garren, of Athens. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Friday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Daniel Fortman officiating. Interment in Hopewell Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
