Edna Lucile Monroe Acuff of Washburn, born May 4, 1921, passed away February 2, 2015 at Heritage Nursing Home in Morristown.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Pryor Lee (Cracker) Acuff, parents: Tolbert and Grace Monroe, sister: Francis Monroe, and brothers: WeirLee and Calma Monroe.
Edna leaves her daughter: Doris (Lawrence) Ritter of Bean Station and son: Gary (Kathy) Acuff. Grandchildren: Lisa (Pete) Winstead, Brian (Teresa) Ritter, Kristy (Aaron) Helms, and Steven (Rachel) Acuff. Great grandchildren: Erica (Matthew) Taylor, Hendrix and Tenley Helms. Special nieces: Willie Ruth Atchley and Gladys Williams, and nephew Karl Monroe.
A special Thank you to Dr. Gupta, and the nurses, CNA's, Activities Dept. and friends for the excellent care she received at Heritage Center.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Lyndall Welch officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Kitts Cemetery in Washburn.
