Cecil “Maurice” Ballard age 86 of Zolfo Springs passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at his home. He was born July 30, 1928 in Castalia, FL and was a lifelong resident of Hardee County.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Annie Evers Ballard, his first wife Margaret Durance Ballard and several siblings.
He is survived by his wife Delmis Ballard of Zolfo Springs, one son Chip Ballard of Zolfo Springs, one daughter Linda Smith and her husband Winston of Wauchula, one sister Martha Martin Elms of Wauchula, three grandchildren Ashleigh Swinford and her husband David, Rhett Smith and his wife Cara, Kyle Ballard; two great grandchildren Riley and Will.
Burial will be private in Friendship Cemetery.
