MR. CHRISTIAN GERBER
AGED MAN SUCCUMBS TO STROKE OF PARALYSIS
Mr. Christian Gerber, an aged and well known resident of this county, died at the home of his son, Mr. J. A. Gerber, on Bear Creek, Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock. A week ago yesterday he became ill and had a stroke of paralysis which affected his whole body, so that he lay helpless until the time of his death without rallying. Until his final illness he was in fine health for so old a man.
Mr. Gerber was 76 years of age last May. For years he was a resident of Fearing township, leaving that part of the county about fifteen years ago. For the past three years he had made his home with his son, where he died. He was a highly respected man and had many friends. He is survived by two sons, J.A. and Charles Gerber.
Burial will be made at the Lutheran cemetery, near Rayley's school house.
