Manford L. Hatfill, 85, of Vandalia, formerly of Mulberry Grove, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, 20Feb, in Fayette Co. Hospital.
Mr. Hatfill was born 26Feb1887 in Shelbyville.
His first marriage was to Cora B. Ellsworth. She died 12Mar1938. He later married Ellen Rockwell who died in 1959.
He was a member of the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors are: sons, Leon of rural Mulberry Grove; Kenneth of Chicago; daughter, Mrs. Eula Simmons of Stockton, CA; 5 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, Merle, 4 brothers & 3 sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ, the Rev. Dallas Newby & the Rev. Jerry Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial was in McInturff Cemetery.
Ripperdan Funeral Home of Mulberry Grove was in charge of services.
