He had been employed as a carman at Union Pacific, a WW II Navy veteran and a member of Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro; he was a member of American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Born September 18, 1922, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Albert and Della (Young) Kilgore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada (Benton) Kilgore in 2007.
Survived by son: Robert (Rosemary) Kilgore of St Louis, MO; daughter: Diane (Curt) Hanke of Dittmer, MO; 6 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a brother: Meredith Kilgore; and sisters: Evelyn and Josephine Michaels. Mahn Funeral Home
