She married 1) Paul Frederick Kohler on 18 Jul 1907 in Watertown, Wisconsin.

In 1910 she and her husband lived in Watertown. In 1920 and 1930 they lived in Janesville, Wisconsin.

After the death of her first husband, she married 2) Louis J. Hammond, as his second wife, on 2 Sep 1937 in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. Their marriage record calls him a salesman.

In 1940 and 1950 she lived in Janesville, Wisconsin with her husband Hammond who was a salesman for a wholesale grocer.

Mrs. Lillie Hammond, 92, formerly of 807 N. Garfield Ave., died Sunday in Watertown Skill Care Center where she had been a resident the past 11 years.

The former Lillie Melzer was born July 21, 1881, in Watertown. Her first husband, Paul Kohler, died in 1935. She later married Lewis J. Hammond, who died in 1961. Mrs. Hammond had lived in Janesville for more than 20 years prior to moving to Watertown. There are no immediate survivors...
